Ruminant Revival: Building a brand, a following, and a partnership with Allegory
Ruminant Revival is the UK’s first vet-led consultancy dedicated to building productive, resilient farms while reducing dependence on chemicals and pharmaceuticals. Lee-Anne Oliver founded the company and, with Allegory’s help, Ruminant Revival now has a platform, a following, and a rapport with journalists. Allegory was asked to grow the company’s public presence through messaging that highlighted their innovative approach to farming.
Our response
We started by mapping the audiences Ruminant Revival needed to reach and translating veterinary and regenerative agriculture topics into clear, jargon-free language. We developed a strong look and feel, built a web platform, and created a distinctive social presence for the company, with media outreach to highlight their unique approach and expertise. Allegory used industry events to build Ruminant Revival’s impact, and announce areas of growing expertise and technical knowledge.
Allegory has created thoughtful campaigns that run throughout the year, each timed to a key date in the farming calendar, such as GB Calf Week, Sheep Week and the British Cattle Breeders Conference (BCBC). In July 2026, Ruminant Revival hosted its first event, – where over 60 beef and sheep producers and other industry professionals came together for a day of talks and workshops, supported by Allegory.
“We’re a small company, and we present a huge brand, and that’s down to Allegory. Farming is a very niche world, and farmers operate in their own way, so I was unsure at first whether an agency would grasp it. I’ve been astounded by how quickly the Allegory team got into that world. Every event we’ve attended has brought something out of it, and having Allegory there with us has opened doors with the farming press we wouldn’t otherwise have had.” – Lee-Anne Oliver, Founder & CEO, Ruminant Revival
The outcomes
We’ve achieved significant coverage for the Ruminant Revival in the farming media, including a double-page spread in Farmer’s Guardian, several pieces in Farmer’s Weekly and The Scottish Farmer, and numerous podcast and webinar appearances. The monthly Ruminant Revival newsletter, “The Ruminant Digest”, achieves higher-than-average open rates of >45%, and the company’s LinkedIn has grown organically to nearly 800 in a highly specialised market. Allegory has produced content for owned channels including blogs, case studies, technical notes and reports. The most recent of these was sent directly to ministers and senior officials in the governments of all four UK nations, with three (Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland) having responded, and meetings secured.
Our efforts have resulted in Ruminant Revival signing clients onto ongoing paid consultancy work. In 18 months, Ruminant Revival has gone from a new entry on the Companies Register to a recognised brand, hosting its own events and webinars, with a growing following and paying clients.
“Working with Allegory is very personal and very bespoke. Nothing is generic. We give them so little, and they come out with so much, and it fills a skill set we don’t have and couldn’t afford to employ. Above all, it’s reassuring. When Allegory has something in hand, I know it’s done properly, and I don’t have to worry about it.”
