Charlotte McLeod

Associate Director

Charlotte is an accomplished senior communications, leadership training and executive coaching professional, with extensive UK and international experience spanning the business, consumer, public and third sectors. Her work includes leading behaviour change campaigns, national commemorative celebrations and strategic communications for government departments and full-service PR agencies. She has also helped academics to achieve greater real-world impact with their research, and SMEs to win new business on a larger scale. Charlotte has worked at Allegory for seven years, and was previously CEO for five years.

She has spent  25 years working in strategic communications consultancy for a range of clients, such as VISA, GE and the Open Data Institute. She held progressive leadership roles within the UK Government, including in the Ministry of Defence and the Prime Minister’s and Cabinet Office, where she led cross-Whitehall behaviour change campaigns. These included influencing young people to develop their skills, small businesses to bid for government contracts, and the ‘big five’ banks to change their policies to fit military life. Charlotte is committed to the power of communications to enable.

For the past two decades, Charlotte has provided crisis, media and communications training to senior leaders, ranging from VISA board members to UK ambassadors and their communications teams on behalf of the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) around the world.

Outside work, Charlotte is an enthusiastic traveller who enjoys sharing stories from her adventures, including trekking to Everest Base Camp and scuba diving in Borneo.
