An advocacy campaign that enabled the rollout and buy-in for a sector-wide digital transformation strategy
We worked with the UK transport planning team at Arup to help them roll out a data-driven initiative, Movement Insight (MI), that would help transport planners all over the world improve city planning for their clients. The project focused on strategic transport analysis and implementing new ways of working with data with a suite of new apps and digital tools.
We coordinated the campaign for a global audience by creating an internal communication strategy that was rolled out across the business. We created a range of content including copy for an internal web platform, case studies, video storyboards and scripts, workshops, champion’s toolkits, guides, templates and app descriptions.
The strategic narrative was simple and engaging and was adopted by transport planners world-wide, positioning Arup at the forefront of data and digital innovation in city planning. Over the six-month project, we created an MI toolkit, and MI Champions toolkit, three bespoke workshops, an explainer video, 12 detailed case studies & accompanying transcripts and detailed presentations. Once the microsite was launched the content was well received and had high engagement rates. The apps rolled out in Movement Insight are now an essential tool used by transport planners working in major cities around the globe. More apps are currently in development and are due to be rolled out.
